Sheila Bennett
Senior Vice President and Chief of Patient Services
Dr. Bennett joined Atrium Health Floyd in 2007 as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. She was named Senior Vice President and Chief of Patient Services in 2018.
Previously, Dr. Bennett was associated for 12 years with Adventist Health System where she served as Vice President of Human Resources and as Chief Nursing Officer for Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital in La Grange, Illinois.
Dr. Bennett earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from American Sentinel University in Denver, Colorado. She received a Master of Healthcare Administration and a bachelor’s degree in health arts from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Bennett is president of the Georgia Association of Healthcare Quality and serves on the Injury Prevention committee for the Trauma Centers of America Association. She is the immediate past president of the Georgia Organization of Nurse Leaders.
