Floyd stands ready to continue providing quality health care to you. With new safety and screening measures in place, we a​re now scheduling appointments and procedures. If you have delayed scheduling an appointment due to COVID-19, now is the time to schedule at one of our care locations.​

​​​COVID-19 Testing

Floyd Medical Center is not a public testing site. We provide drive-thru testing for surgery patients as part of their pre-operative​ evaluation. Anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms should call their primary care office, Floyd Urgent Care ​or the Georgia Department of Public Health hotline at 1.844.442.2681.

Plasma Therapy for COVID-19

Floyd Medical Center is participating in a study with Minnestota-based Mayo Clinic to test the use of convalescent plasma in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. The study focuses on taking plasma from people who have recovered from the virus and giving it to patients who are currently ill. Floyd is the first hospital in the state to participate in the study with the Mayo Clinic. Read more
