About Floyd and the Surrounding Community
Atrium Health Floyd is a national leader in customer service and employee satisfaction, providing care in seven counties in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama.
Our health system includes a 304-bed acute care hospital in Rome, Georgia, that features a Level II Trauma Center, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a family medicine residency program.
We also operate a 25-bed critical access hospital in Cedartown, Georgia; a 60-bed rural hospital in Centre, Alabama; a thriving primary care network; and a 53-bed mental health facility.
Rome is located in northwest Georgia between Atlanta and Chattanooga. It boasts more physicians per capita than any similar-sized community in the U.S.
That large number of physicians, along with a strong base of industry and a wide variety of activities, make Rome and the surrounding area a very livable, enjoyable community with excellent public and private schools, a vibrant downtown and, of course, great health care.
