Allied Health Student Placement
Allied health student placement programs are work-based learning opportunities for students to:
- develop practical skills that will enhance their future health care careers
- bridge the gap between formal education and practical work experience.
This is also an opportunity for Atrium Health Floyd to participate in the educational process while receiving valuable work contributions from students and for Floyd teammates to develop their leadership skills.
Allied health student placement programs include instructor-led experiences with educational institutions who have an established Clinical Education Affiliation Agreement with Atrium Health Floyd. The following areas/roles fall under this agreement:
- medical assistants
- phlebotomy

- social worker
- behavioral health

- and more
*New, first-time Clinical Education Affiliation Agreements are reviewed for need and accepted on a case-by-case basis.
