Events Scheduled for Feb. 18-19 at The Forum River Center
ROME, Ga., Jan. 30, 2025 – For the second consecutive year, Atrium Health Floyd and the Georgia Emergency Medical Services Association will hold an EMS Trauma Summit at The Forum River Center in downtown Rome.
The summit, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 19, offers EMS members from across the state the opportunity to advance their skills and knowledge in the care of trauma patients.
Participants can also earn educational credits, network with fellow attendees, exchange ideas and stay up to date on the latest advancements in trauma care.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Jeff Jarvis, medical director and chief medical officer for the Metropolitan Area EMS Authority in Fort Worth, Texas. Click this link to register for the Trauma Summit.
The GEMSA trauma skills procedure lab, which will require a $5 fee, will hold two session on Feb. 18. It is open to EMS, first responders, nurses and other staff who work with trauma patients. The lab features rotating stations where participants can learn more about treating a variety of injuries and receive continuing medical education credits.
Teammates can choose to attend from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. or from noon to 4 p.m. Space is limited. Click this link to register for the lab.
