Schedule an eVisit with Atrium Health Floyd Primary Care

09.08.2023

It's an Easy Way to Handle Non-Urgent Medical Issues

ROME, Ga., Sept. 8, 2023 Patients can now complete an eVisit with Atrium Health Floyd Primary Care providers they already know and trust.

Medical care is provided entirely through secure messaging — no appointment, phone call or video chat is needed. All you need is your MyAtriumHealth account and a computer, tablet or smartphone with internet connection. Be prepared to share details about your insurance, medications and allergies as well.

An eVisit can be used for non-urgent medical conditions that still require medical attention, like minor cold and sinus symptoms, knee pain or urinary tract infections.

The eVisit care option can be accessed via the MyAtriumHealth website, or the MyAtriumHealth app available on android and iPhones.

To schedule an eVisit, simply log in at My.AtriumHealth.org or use the MyAtriumHealth application. Scroll down to “Looking for eVisit?" Select “Use Symptom Checker" from the menu and answer a few questions about your symptoms.

If an eVisit is not appropriate for your condition, you may be asked to set up an in-person or video visit with your doctor or go to urgent care or an emergency room.

If an eVisit is an appropriate option, you'll be asked for more information and a member of your care team will reply via a secure MyAtriumHealth message in an average of 12 to 24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. The message will include a diagnosis and treatment plan, as well as a prescription if needed.

Check with your insurance provider to see if eVisits are covered by your specific plan. If your doctor cannot give a diagnosis and treatment plan at the end of your eVisit, you won't be charged.
