AdaptiveMotion Program
Atrium Health Floyd's AdaptiveMotion Program incorporates customized stretch breaks to help decrease risks and costs associated with workplace injury and absenteeism.
We offer this customized program because each workplace and workforce is unique. Through task analysis and workforce evaluation, Atrium Health Floyd specialists create stretching routines that typically consist of multiple function-specific exercises that can be completed in five to 10 minutes.
Certified Ergonomics Specialists
Atrium Health Floyd Corporate Health’s certified ergonomic assessment specialists (CEAS®) are trained physical therapists who can help organizations identify the injury risks associated with specific occupational tasks.
Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders
Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) account for more than 30 percent of all nonfatal occupational injury and illness cases each year. WMSDs cost employers $20 billion annually in direct workers' compensation payments, according to an article in Occupational Health and Safety magazine. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) estimates the annual indirect costs associated with WMSDs, such as those associated with hiring and training replacement workers, are up to five times the direct costs.
