​Jason Cucchiara has served as a medical volunteer on numerous disaster relief teams, primarily in Louisiana and also in Georgia. As a volunteer, he provided direct patient care, coordinated medical care and resources, and managed staffing needs. 

When he is not at work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and traveling. He also plays the guitar. 

Cucchiara is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Orthopaedic ​Nurses. He also serves as a question writer for the Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner Certification board exam.​​​
