​​“I am interested in preventive health care particularly in the outpatient setting. My goal is to start a new chapter in the expanding field of telemedicine to provide care to those in need whether it be acute or chronic conditions.”

Dr. John Paul Velasco is board certified in family medicine. He focuses on providing virtual care for hypertension, diabetes, obesity and preventive medicine.

He received his master’s degree in biology at Queens College and his medical degree at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He completed residency in family medicine at Central Michigan University.

Dr. Velasco, his wife and children love the outdoors, especially visiting lakes, going to state parks, walking their dogs and hiking. They love traveling, both within the U.S. and abroad.
