Land became a nurse practitioner because​ she wanted to make more of a difference and help people manage their chronic diseases and live a healthier life.

She is a volunteer at the Healing Hands Clinic in Calhoun. She enjoys going to concerts and baseball games, as well as hanging out with her husband and their dogs. ​​
