Dr. Pickens joined Northwest Georgia Medical in 2000. He is a second-generation physician, following his father's example in the practice of OB-GYN. 

He has a special interest in infertility, and practices both obstetrics and gynecology. 

Dr. Pickens received his board certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and maintains membership in the Medical Association of Georgia and the American Medical Association (AMA).
