Diabetes Education
Our diabetes education classes are held in-person.
Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes
Our full-day and half day classes help people learn how to manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Class topics include the following:
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Diabetes medications
- Sudden complications
- Diet management
- Disease progression
- Goal setting and behavior changes
- Physical activity
- Chronic (ongoing) complications
- Treatment of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and hyperglycemia (high blood sugar)
Gestational Diabetes
Women who are pregnant and have been diagnosed with
gestational diabetes participate in a series of classes to help them learn how to better manage their nutritional needs and track their blood glucose levels.
