Physician Appointments
During the first year after bariatric surgery, you will make frequent follow-up visits to make sure you're losing adequate weight in a healthy manner. You will see your surgeon and dietitian after surgery at two weeks, four weeks, three months, six months, one year and then annually thereafter. At these visits, nutrition plans and coping strategies are discussed, and your post-surgery plan is modified as needed. Blood tests are also routinely done to monitor potential deficiencies.
