Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center Perioperative Care

​Part of our dedication to high-quality surgery outcomes includes care by Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center Perioperative Care. Before surgery, you may be scheduled for an in-person visit or phone call to review your medical history and risk for complications.

Equipped with 18 technology driven operating rooms (12 inpatient and six outpatient) featuring high-definition imaging, our surgery suite includes:

  • Preoperative/postoperative care area
  • Laparoscopic capabilities
  • ​Sterile processing area
  • Private family consultation rooms
  • Robotic surgery capabilities

While patients are in surgery, we use an electronic paging system to ensure privacy and protect patient identity while communicating with family members.

​​Patients requiring hospitalization after surgery will recuperate on one of Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center's modern, dedicated surgical specialty nursing units.

Equipped with two technology driven operating rooms featuring high-definition imaging and two endoscopy rooms, our surgery suite includes:

  • Eleven private preoperative/postoperative rooms
  • Two bed post-anesthesia care unit
  • Adjacent sterile processing area
  • ​Laparoscopic capabilities
  • Private family consultation area
