Moms Choose Floyd for Obstetrics
For the second consecutive year, Floyd Medical Center has received high marks from women giving birth, ranking it among the top hospitals nationwide for obstetric services, according to the 2020 Women's Choice Awards. The organization that empowers women to make smart health choices put Floyd in the top 17 percent of 4,982 U.S. hospitals.

The ranking is based on patient satisfaction responses through the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems and patient safety based on 11 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' measures of infection and complication rates.

Caring for Moms and Babies
Floyd's maternity services offer a variety of classes and support group for new moms to help prepare them for the birthing process, breastfeeding and infant care. Floyd's Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides advanced care for babies with severe or potentially life-threatening conditions.
