Georgia Highlands College Partnership
Georgia Highlands College’s Atrium Health Floyd School of Health Sciences and Atrium Health Floyd Department of Nursing are the result of a partnership to increase the number of nurses in the northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama job market.
The partnership includes more nursing student positions, tuition assistance, clinical training opportunities and first-choice placement for nursing positions at Atrium Health Floyd.
Working together, Georgia Highlands College and Atrium Health Floyd are opening career opportunities in our community while ensuring that Atrium Health Floyd can continue to provide excellent patient care.
Pathway Program Financial Assistance
Students pursuing an associate's degree in nursing at Georgia Highlands College’s Atrium Health Floyd School of Health Sciences are eligible to apply to the Atrium Health Pathway Program.
Pathway Program participants are eligible for tuition assistance up to $1,500 per semester and $3,000 per year. In return, students are asked to work at an Atrium Health Floyd facility for each year they receive Pathway assistance.
Applications will open in November 2024.
Nursing Scholarships
Atrium Health Floyd Excellence in Nursing Scholarships are awarded to select, current first-year nursing students enrolled in the Atrium Health Floyd School of Health Sciences nursing program at Georgia Highlands College.
The scholarship awards selected students with two $1,500 scholarships ($3,000 max) to be applied to a student's last year of nursing school (one payment per semester).
Scholarship applications for 2024 are closed, and those scholarships have been awarded. The next application window will open in Spring 2025.
