Through education, counseling and access to valuable resources, this organization is available to help ease some of the difficult emotions individuals diagnosed with cancer may experience and to help them keep a sense of control over their diagnosis and treatment. Look Good, Feel Better
Appearance and self-image are an important consideration for cancer patients. This group works with patients to provide support, advice and resources during chemotherapy and radiation treatments to help patients feel better about themselves. Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center Heyman Hospice Care provides in-home medical, physical, social and spiritual support for patients and their family members. Volunteers work with nurses and social workers supply additional support, including respite care, running errands and helping with house and yard work. Our Palliative Care team seeks to improve the quality of life for patients. Our team works with patients, their families and health care providers to address financial, social, spiritual or family-related issues.
