Be Positive
It’s important during this pandemic to stay positive and share that with your friends, neighbors and community. Below are some suggestions on how you can do that, but you are likely to have your own.
If you share items on social media, use the hashtags #floydstrong and #heroesbehindthemask.
Don’t Be Too Distant
While the governor has urged us to shelter in place, there are still ways you can talk to family and friends. There are many phone and computer apps that let you video call with multiple people. Take some time to do that when you can.
Let Your Light Shine
A candle in the window or some holiday lights out front might seem out of place in the spring, but it might help you feel better. Also, health care workers going to or from work might get some pleasure from that before or after a long day.
Become a Chalk Artist
Kids loved to draw with chalk and you probably do too. Some inspirational message on your driveway will likely bring some cheer to your own family and to those strolling by.
Ribbons Say a Lot
Green is the color of renewal and harmony. Many older American remember tying a yellow ribbon around a tree to welcome a solider home. Try some green ribbons to let health care workers know you are thinking about them.
