Your Safety is Our Priority

You deserve to feel safe and secure. Our entire team has made a personal commitment to protect your health and stands ready to deliver quality care and peace of mind. Below are the steps we are taking to provide enhanced safety and care you can trust.

Safety Precautions

  • COVID-19 screenings – All patients are screened before their visit and rescreened upon entering any Atrium Health Floyd facility. All employees are screened every day.
  • COVID-19 testing – Surgery patients will receive a test as part of their pre-evaluation assessment.
  • Separate treatment areas – Primary care and urgent care locations are protecting patients with dedicated spaces for patients experiencing respiratory symptoms. Our hospitals are providing care for COVID-19-positive patients and symptomatic patients in a quarantined area with negative pressure rooms. These special rooms ensure that air from rooms with patients being treated with an infectious disease is not shared into other areas of the hospital.
  • Clean facilities – We employ enhanced cleaning protocols at each Floyd location.
  • Masks - All Atrium Health Floyd staff are required to wear masks. Patients and visitors are asked to wear a mask while undergoing care or treatment at our facilities.
  • Leading by example – Our employees follow the latest best practices, including social distancing when appropriate, wearing the protective equipment and washing hands frequently.
  • Visitor restrictions – We continue to restrict visitation. Read visitor restriction details.

Can I still schedule a virtual visit with a primary care physician?

All Atrium Health Floyd Primary Care locations are offering virtual visits for appointments that are appropriate for video calls. Patients should call their office for more information and to schedule a virtual visit.

Will COVID-19 testing be a part of pre-evaluation or care?  What about the members of my care team?

Patients who are having a surgical procedure will be tested for COVID-19 as a part of their pre-evaluation assessment. Patients receiving outpatient services who do not have COVID-19 symptoms will not be tested.

Every member of our care team is screened daily before they enter the facility. To ensure the safety of all patients, COVID-19 patients and their care team are located in a designed area.  This area is properly equipped with negative pressure rooms and appropriate PPE to isolate respiratory illnesses.

Do you offer antibody testing?
